The School of the Arts and Professions
The School of the Arts and Professions includes six undergraduate
academic departments: Criminal Justice, Education, English and Languages,
Fine Arts, Physical Education and Social Sciences. Areas of concentration within the
School include music and art education, special education, telecommunications,
and sociology/social work. School faculty routinely conduct research
and development initiatives with the National Institutes of Health,
the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the National
Security Agency, and the Maryland State Department of Education.
The General Studies Program, The Honors Program, and the Center
for Drug and Alcohol Prevention are located in the School. Counseling
Services, New Student Advising and International Student Advisement
are campus-wide services coordinated by the School.
